Happy sandbucket

1979
(Per Amy: "When I was 4 years old I participated in the ward Road Show playing the role of a 'happy summer-time' sandbucket. I emember singing my part and standing up while flowers and trees danced around me. I also remember that the bucket part of the costume was terribly uncomfortable because the edges where it had been cut jutted out and cut into my middle. It was ok though, because I had a huge crush on the sandcastle boy, Aaron Higley, and Heather Skeen had a hard time moving around in her beach ball ensemble. Boy was I cute!! Boy was I a ham!!! I also remember being jealous because Gayle was a snowflake? flower? and I thought her costume was BEAUTEEEEFULL! I am still jealous of Gayle as a matter of fact. . .ah well."Per Gayle: "... the name of the Roadshow was 'Seagulls Flying East' or something. I was a snowflake, and Randy was a leaf. My costume consisted of white tights, a blue tunic, and a large cardboard snowflake. The song we sang was about the seasons, and the chorus went something like, 'Time just keeps passin', it doesn't stop to say 'hi!' You can try to make it stop if you want, but it keeps on passing by...' Brother Metcalf played Father Time and he had a watering can, with which he watered everything, including Amy the bucket, all the snowflakes & etc.")
